🀄 Mahjong & Munchies: August Member Gathering
Wednesday, August 26 | 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
📍 Hera Hub Carlsbad
🔒 HHC Members-Only Event

Join us for a fun, relaxed evening of game-learning, snacking, and connecting! This month, we are diving into the world of Chinese Mahjong, led by Hera Hub’s resident instructor, Grace Decker!

Mahjong is having a massive moment right now! While American Mahjong uses complex card hands and jokers, Chinese Mahjong features simpler, more traditional rules that are quick to pick up, making it the perfect gateway to this centuries-old game of strategy, skill, and a touch of luck. Whether you’ve never touched a tile or just want to brush up on the basics, Grace will have you calling “Pung!” and “Chow!” in no time.

🍇 Community Charcuterie Board

We are building a group charcuterie board to keep our brainpower fueled! Please bring 1 item to contribute to the table.

• Ideas: Cheeses, cured meats, crackers, fresh veggies, fruits, nuts, or a sweet treat!
• Non-alcoholic beverages are also welcome. (We’ve got wine covered!)

⏰ Event Schedule & Details

• 5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Arrive, get settled, contribute to the charcuterie spread, and grab a drink.
• 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM: Instruction, gameplay, and socializing! Stay as long as you’d like to keep playing!

Please try to arrive on time at 5:00 PM so you can get settled in with snacks before instruction starts.

⚠️ RSVP Required

Because we need an accurate count to ensure we have enough Mahjong tile sets and tables structured, RSVPing is strictly required here.

Come to learn, snack, and have fun together—we can’t wait to see you there!
